Prey

Chill wind blew

Pyrethrum scents filling the air

Bugs flapped in struggle

Leaves rustled

The cats neck followed the slithering snake down below

Its yellow eyes shinning in darkness

Sharp! It pouched on the prey

Its claws firm on the head

Its fangs tight on the body

The struggle, the strife

Soon the snake was still

And the cat rested to enjoy its meal
