Pretenders

Many Don't Care

there's the ones that care

and so many that don't

pretenders

unaware that they're offenders

could it be that they're ashamed

of their own endeavor?

never acknowledge the pinnacle

but suffice for rock bottom

so relationships get severed

never would i ever

stoop to that level again

ill be damned

too many involved within this scam

frightened of a challenge

cause they've been told

you never will grow

psychologically screwed, i suppose

or doubting themselves

another dusted book on the shelf

collected throughout the years

in constant fear

ignorance is bliss, apparently

carrying iniquities

to the grave

with other knaves

and killed with a kiss

be brave

every fall is inevitable

bound to occur

just believe that you can overcome

or else be purged

by society

not, highly unlikely

incline from the deep

you'll finally reach success

while others remain asleep
