Keep it close, don’t show
It to anyone who may
wrestle it away.
—-
Hide it, eyes can’t see
where you put it, because then
they’ll try to take it.
—-
Lock it up, and down
It’s not safe outside the safe
so keep the door locked
—-
If you take it out
be mindful of what you’ve done
by exposing it
—-
Don’t weep at its theft
It’s not the taking that hurts,
but when it’s returned.
—-
Learn to accept it
if you offer to someone,
and they won’t take it.
—-
Rejection happens
if you’re not what someone wants,
not checking their box.
—-
Learn to be careful
and show it from a distance,
where it can’t be snatched.
—-
Someone may want it
and won’t want to give it back.
But keep it secured.
—-
If they have a key,
make sure it’s not for another
before you try it.
—-
God still knows what best
He created you with Love
so you could give it.
—-
He sees every tear
and bottles it with great care,
to show you later.
—-
He sees you walking
and knows every step you take.
Because He’s been there.
—-
Keep your heart guarded.
It is “the wellspring of Life.”
Your precious trinket.

"Keep your heart guarded. It is “the wellspring of Life.” Your precious trinket." Wow such amazing words!
If they have a key, make sure it’s not for another before you try it. Gosh this stanza/haiku was so deep! Loved this so much!
