A poem for prayer

In the closet of God’s arms is where I’m safe from harm.

A stepping stone to better. A spiritual love letter.

It’s where I go to express my woes, hopes and dreams.

A conversation with God that teaches me life isn’t as bad as it seems.

The best talk ever. Oneness and a conversation with God.

It always leads to lifted spirit. Yes it’s elevation from God.

A heavy discussion of life and all of its layers.

The dialogue between me and the man upstairs is a prayer.

I say them when I wake up and before I go to sleep.

Well beyond the surface. From my soul is where they soar from deep.
