When uncertainty grips a space

When fear takes a seat upon the throne of your awareness

When terror’s tentacles tangle your steering wheel

All that is left

Is the breath.

Shallow sure.

Short to be certain.

But present.

Free.

Free in the face of circumstance

WITH the unseen ebb and flow of the void

The looming yet calming threat and gift of non-existence

The heaven disguised as inconceivable hell

A bell in silence. A pause in noise.

The invitation to merge remains.

Even as your limbs tense. Even as they refuse your orders.

Your essence

The breath

Remains.

The insatiable lust for past and future

The mind

Whisks us away to a world of potential

The breath

Roots us in reality

Tasting it on inhalation

And releasing the moment

In eternal meditation

Our eternal education

Through reflection

Our course through this world of illusion

Leads us to confusion

Not due to what we lack in intellect

But what we stand to gain in union

In presence

These moments we can’t grasp until they’ve passed

Are precious

Jewels of the Now

Refracting the light

Revealing the glory of our different but resonant frequencies

The sin waves we surf toward nowhere in particular

Serve as guides to the harmony of mind

body

and soul

Of form and emptiness

The end of duality

Is in

Surrender

To it

When all conflicts come to stasis

All that is left

Is the breath
