Poppies growing forever

Poppies Grow Where Heroes Fell

War is death, the devil’s gun, a bomb,

A shot, a agrenade destroys a mother’s son.

Yet their memory is etched in hearts,

Poppies grow, like broken hearts remain.

Soldiers fall, from the soil poppies rise,

Red as blood beneath the skies.

A memory not forgotten never ever,

Remembering the men at war who fell.

Their eyes closed a life was lost forever,

War the devil’s toy, gone a mother’s boy.

Sadness dwells in fields of green grass,

Lives taken by a bullet shot, and tears.

Their last breath made the poppies grow,

Where brave hearts stood so long ago.

Not forgotten, they never will be,

Their courage lives in you and me.

Poppies cry forget-me-not forever,

Remembering all the men who fell Amen🙏
