Blooms of Summer fill my vision and quicken my heart
Before I even feel the first rays of light
Tanning my skin like a perfect work of art
Comforted by nature, my future is bright
Drips run down my fingers not from my pool
Ahh a brand-new pool, soon I will get in
Sparkles dance on the surface like a jewel
A long cold sip, my lips form a grin
STOP IT! I HAVE TO BREATHE!
OW! MMMMOOOMMM HE HIT ME!
NO, I DIDN’T, HE KICKED MY TEETH!
YOU JUST DON’T WANT TO GET IN TROUBLE, MOM- SEE?
BOTH of you, 5 minutes, NOW-OUT of the pool
So peaceful everyone said, yeah, maybe when they’re in school!
