Police Brutality is Rare

And

By Bridge TheoryPublished 4 years ago • 1 min read

Oppression is a four letter word

If you don't believe me

Then coon you must not be listening

Sorry

I don't like using such language

But just like the culture they vulture in false pride this language is not mine

But oppression IS

A four letter word

Oppression is bred from ignorance

Descending into dissonance

Separating us from equality

Leaving us to see-saw our legs out of these chains

While screaming with pain

Separate but equal

Separate

But

Equal

Oppression is EVIL

I'm sorry this is supposed to be a metaphor

So

Oppression is a four letter word

But it looks much bigger when you submerge it in ignorance

Then blow dry it with self righteousness

A swollen ego

Oppression is boot to neck

You begging for oxygen that is taxed with your life

But if you can't pay you just O2

Oppression invalidates the suffering of others

I know that wasn't a pretty line

But

Oppression is a rose untouched

It looks perfect from the top down

But if you drop down it starts to hurt

Things are current

Tense

I meant

Oppression is

Rise

Like the Phoenix

Fly like the Phoenix

And if you die for what you believe in you die like a Phoenix

See

Oppression is the glass ceiling

But glass can be broken

Yes oppression is a four letter word but

Resilience is hope
