Poison In What We Eat
Every mouthful a danger to life

Poison In What We Eat
Everything appears convincing,
sealed beneath polished design,
bright colours and careful wording,
making questions easy to leave behind.
Shelves stand full of promises,
labels offering comfort and ease,
while ingredients hide in long names
read quickly and accepted with peace.
People carry baskets home,
trusting what they always knew,
rarely stopping long enough
to ask what they are passing through.
Food changed without announcement,
becoming something harder to know,
made to survive beyond nature,
while simplicity faded below.
Nothing dangerous announces itself,
nothing arrives wearing blame,
sometimes change hides in routine,
until ordinary feels the same.
Taste remains though something shifts,
small choices repeat each day,
and over time people forget
what was quietly taken away.
The table still looks familiar,
meals still fill the plate,
yet something feels more distant
than anyone wants to state.
And somewhere beneath convenience,
beneath every polished claim,
a question stays behind us—
when did food stop feeling the same?
