Who said a villanelle will help me write

It was Mikeydred, or Mike Singleton

I am struggling alright

~

It was time to write, well not quite right

No words, not a single one

Who said a villanelle will help me write

 ~

This condition really does bite

A villanelle may get it done

I am struggling alright

~

The light was so bright and white

it was like the blinding sun

Who said a villanelle will help me write

~

The words they were out of sight

pull out the water gun

I am struggling alright

~

With a beam of brilliant light

Writing is not a bargain

Who said a villanelle will help me write

I am struggling alright

Author’s Note: Mike Singleton published the story below that introduced the idea of writing a villanelle to help with writers' block.
