You take my poetry like a sip of hot sauce

Something to wake you up, make you feel

Words that keep you going a little longer

With no real regard to how it affects me

I write you poetry so you feel better about yourself

Feel seen, heard, like your feelings are valid

You clap superficially and then move on to the next

Forget that my words are also my experience

Unless of course

They are just artificially rearranged for you

Because it's all about you, isn't it?

It's all about how and what you feel from the art

This art is a fart

Fine art in motion

My words squatting and letting one rip

One leg up in the air

Practically pissin' on your territory

And yet you applaud it

How pathetic, yet completely expected

But hey, don't worry, the poetry will keep comin'

Always ready to grab you by the nips and balls and yank hard on those emotions

Just think of reading poetry like acceptable masochism

Ain't that progressive of you
