Rules or ruleless?

What

Defines

A poem?

Is it the

Format?

Is it how

I chop my words up

From sentences

To run ons?

Is it

The length?

If I

Change

My format

Am I no longer

A poet?

Do I need a deep meaning

Behind my ugly words?

Can't I just vent

And slam

Random goddamn words

Onto a boring

Useless

Fake

Sheet of paper

And call it a day?

Does it matter?

If a tree falls

A bird

Will see it die

If I drop my pen

Will anyone

See

The lint

Melted into my paper?

Or

Will this

Reach

The ears of no one

Except the robot

Stealing my nonsense?
