Stumbling in the dark we wander bumping into the unknown. Lightening flashes lead us to somewhere we've never been ... But are meant to. Life thunders in our ears. quietly at first ... Then louder. Sometimes it's too much to bare. Thunder changes into rain. The cold drizzle against our face calms us. The downpour cleanses us. In these lightening flashes we see the past, present and luckily sometimes the future. Stumbling in the dark we wait for the next storm. The next lightening flash to guide our way. What do we really see in those flashes? A real future or subconscious dreams never to be filled? Dawn breaks the horizon and fills our eyes. Blinded again we stumble. We wander still bumping into the unknown. The noises of life are deafening. Our souls grow weary and dark. Our mind fills with memories, hopes, regrets, guilt, fears, and dreams. What is real? What is imagined? We stumble on seeking to lift the veil ... To lose our baggage. Every light is a beacon. Every door a different path. Where are the keys? Who holds them from us? Thump, thump, thump in the dark of the night. Who is knocking on this door? The door opens and a beautiful hand reaches for yours. One single hand that reaches in and takes yours and ignites something deeper inside you than you knew existed. In one instant the stumbling and wandering is over. The weary soul begins to twinkle. Ever so dim it starts to grow brighter and brighter. The hand pulls you nearer and nearer. You no longer wander or wonder. Your head rests against the soul of that beautiful hand and with one deep sigh ... You are finally home.
