The Cloak

Where were the stars,

When I needed 'em?

Where was the moon,

When I needed it?

Why was there a grey cloak,

Around the antecedent dark world?

Or was it around the mind?

Was it carried by the bellowing winds,

In which the wolf once howled?

Or was it bought by a foe,

From some other world?

And While I was contemplating,

The purpose of the cloak

A gentle breeze unfurled it,

to let the sun reveal

And now all I could do

was stare in, at the amber glow.

Silence

By Andraz Lazic on Unsplash

Slowly the days pass,

Letting the silence grow,

While the melancholy,

swoops in too low,

And the Devils of your world,

When they start to show,

The man in the cradle,

Is sure to bow,

All while, the cosmic requital,

swoops in too low.
