I used to write poems and love songs for wrong lovers.
Crumpled up pages,
ink crossed letters like thumb print bruises
under perfected surfaces.
Written conversations made of words never spoken.
I used to write poems and love songs for ex lovers.
Rythmic resentment,
bitterness written with stitches made of new loves threads.
Pages ripped at the seam,
humming melodies that only made sense to me.
I used to write poems and love songs for loved lovers.
Hopeful eagerness,
A fresh book seeping loves begininning through the pages.
A feverish dream,
Constantly reminding myself that ink always bleeds.
