Poems About Perceptions 2

A More Interesting View

By Kathleen Elizabeth HarpePublished 6 years ago 1 min read

Knights with swords, princes in castles

Towers and kingdoms, servants and vassals.

Dragons and fairies play in the sky

Unicorns and trolls wandering by.

You see it different and yet the same,

Similar things with different names.

A solider at war fights for his home

A rich CEO’s son, his heir to the throne.

Sky scrapers and cites spring from the ground

Fast food servers and janitors seem to abound.

Jets and kites dot the sky

Cars and motor bikes puttering by.

You see the same world that I see

It just looks more interesting to me.
