Senses

I see the world in hues and shades,

In colors bright and dim,

In landscapes vast and microscopic,

In images, surreal and whimsical.

I hear the symphony of life,

In melodies soft and loud,

In voices soothing and demanding,

In laughter pure and proud.

I taste the flavors of the earth,

In food savory and sweet,

In drinks cold and hot,

In spices bold and neat.

I smell the scents of the air,

In fragrances fresh and old,

In nature's gifts and man-made,

In aromas warm and cold.

I touch the textures of the world,

In surfaces smooth and rough,

In fabrics soft and hard,

In objects big and small.

These senses define my being,

They shape my thoughts and dreams,

They connect me to the universe,

They make me human, it seems.

For what is life without the senses,

A mere existence, dull and bleak,

But with them, we can savor life,

In all its glory, joy, and mystique.
