It's 10:57 A.M., yet again
the sun's rays have slashed
their way through my blinds
and I'm turning onto my side
in an innocent embrace
with my pillow who has been present
in last night's mental manifestations
I curl and crack my toes together
like people who have no rhythm
and stretch myself until I bump
my head against the headboard
like I always do, and somehow
still manage to startle myself
in that exact same fashion
I recall today being a rest day
thus, no gym visits will be paid
and for a moment, I close my eyes
internally contemplating a return
back to sleep or back to work
a deep inhale follows
it's 12:26pm, yet again.
