Day in and day out, life is like a wind storm
Always blowing and unpredictable
Day in and day out
Life is like the passing of time
Never-ending and undeniable
As I sit here and ponder life
I can't help but feel scared
Because of so many unknowns
and sad for the many who agreed but nobody around them cared
There are many who feel the same
and understand
But sometimes feel like it is human nature to not empathize with our fellow man
In a world of high expectations
and so many variables It almost makes sense to have to rely on so many pills
You can't change life but you can change how you handle it
Take it as best you can without numbing yourself until you can't feel it
A drop of pain is better than a shot of shame
It only takes one shot to snowball
Meanwhile, you can mold a drop to make you stronger
While a shot can make you lose it all
Day in and day out
A shot, a pill, it all can have a hold on you
Day in and day out
Even so, you are strong enough to make it through
