You are nourishment to banks.
The shifter of moods,
The annoyance insomniacs .
You are the rest for the sun,
comfort for the fireplace,
alarm for the outdoorsmen.
With leaf and blade your stage
You are an energetic busker
tapping on any surface you can find
to keep the rhythm of the dance your partner is stepping.
The mood shifter, hue changer, immovable but by the wind
Refractor of light, absorbing the sky, giving more life than you take.
The clearer of chemicals,
bringing melodies to gusts,
the solo after a bridge of clouds,
bringer of hope to the dry.
Bring your melodies to the sky.

Shawna was at the counter waiting for the barista to remake her drink. She was polite and honestly didn’t mind the mix-up, she understood what it was like to be the new guy. So, she waited patiently, not that she was in a rush to get back to her meeting with Susan. It took about three minutes for the latte to be remade, Shawna took her time walking up and taking it. Shawna let out a heavy sigh as she turned to walk back to her meeting.

Invitation to Renga With Me
Ladies and Gentlemen, I am returned. I am envisaging a grand entrance here, a footman perhaps, announcing my arrival, or a both doors flung wide attention grab. That I actually slipped in quietly with an itsy bitsy haiku seems far more in keeping with my actual style. Either way, I am back after an absence of a couple of weeks in which I dedicated myself fully to a family holiday. I could do no different, it has been a very full trip, and a wonderful trip for it. But though I read most of a novel, I took no time to read on Vocal, and no time to write either.
