poem: after
poetry about self-love and healing
By Heather HolmesPublished about a year ago • 1 min read

Pixel art of an artist who has learned self-love
after i make things i stare at them until i hate them
it doesn’t take long
lately i stare at the things i’ve made
and i expect to hate them, eventually
but i don’t
it never happens
i think that’s more beautiful
than anything i could ever make
“after”
