Too much money, not enough... Too little money, not enough...

Joining the pack of rodents on the commute to the cheese...

If the cheese is already provided on the platter, we would lack the hunger and motivation to move.

Can't win either way.

Cash fuels addictions, but a lack of it fuels violence and criminal activity alike.

A hamster in a wheel...

Longing to downgrade to a fly on the wall...

A domino effect all round. Regardless, shit drops from the top's anal cavity and makes its way down to the sewers where I and the rest of us average folk reside...

It stinks, but we get used to the scent...

Years go on, and the pressure of the turds pumping out only increases...

Some put on a brave face, a smile being their imaginative snorkel, but at the end of the day, we can all see through that bullshit...

Some find temporary direction and traction, leading them out of the sewer...

But remember, plumbers never go out of business.

About the Creator

Armand Slayer

Since fifteen, writing has been my quiet companion. Words, to me, preserve fleeting moments, question certainty, and reveal what often goes unspoken. Every sentence is a journey into memory, emotion, and what it means to be human.
