Playing With Death

To be alive

We played with death

So, we could be alive

We knew that’s a risk we shouldn’t take

But we are keen on life anyway

Since begging for death is the only way we could survive

We made it our profession till the beginning of life

^^^

One never chooses life

One accepts it as a precious gift

For one cannot face the vacuum of inexistence

Therefore, imagining heaven and hell was part of the game

^^^

We enjoyed the warm of this fire

It could burn us entirely

We loved it anyway

For outside was a palace of icicles

^^^

We danced till our heads spin

We were bad in each other’s eyes

Life gives us no other choice

Thus, we thought we were great for heaven

^^^^

It was me in your dream

It was you in my mind

We couldn’t imagine any future outside our crazy love

Our story was the dream that kept us awakened
