Anthurium - Haiku Trilogy
Shield of lacquer red
heart-shaped leaf in shadows bred
warmth inside the vase.
Thick as polished skin
from its centre bright and bold
golden spire unfolds
Red flower proud and clean
spark of fire amidst the green
flame to catch the eye.
