Who is the placeholder? Always chosen, but never loved or loved and never chosen.

Oh how the inconsistency leaves their spirit broken.

He said, she said I wish they would finally choose me.

They beg the question is anyone is afraid to lose me?

When life is at its lowest you know who you’ll see there.

When it’s at its best it’s like no one will be there.

The ever present friend. The comfy shoulder to lean on.

Yet if there is no conflict or use for me I’ll be gone.

Woke up one morning and realized you were a safe guy.

Ask yourself are you uncomfortable truth or just a safe lie.

Whatever bond you have be aware that it ain’t over.

It never is when you’re cursed to be a placeholder.
