Pink
A Beautiful, Emotional, Warming Colour.
A rosy hue,
The colour of a flower
A lady’s bower.
*
A shower of Spring
Through a rainbow mist.
A shepherd’s delight
Softened with white.
*
A lover’ tryst
blinded by rose-colored glasses
Passes
in hot pink haze.
*
Skin pink.
Schiaparelli.
A shocking pink.
Colour of a belly
Birth and Blood!
*
Sun-burnt noses,
A bowl of roses,
Even little tiny toesies.
*
We’re in the Pink
A palette of colour in one hue
And most definitely not…
*
A psychedelic blue.

This poem came about via a fun game we used to play where a group of us would each choose a subjective word; we would then take approximately ten minutes to extrapolate and incorporate the themed word.
In this case the chosen word was “Pink”.
