Pillow talk

but not the good kind

By Kiesha’s DiaryPublished 3 years ago • 1 min read

it hurt me so low

the last time we talked pillow

laying side by side

which is exactly when i realised

i was holding onto something that no longer existed

a list of my flaws, for me he had gifted

on display were all of my insecurities exposed

i thought i was ill crazy. but i had been misdiagnosed

everyone else assured me that i was not at all sick

instead they said this situation was “toxic”

i do not even know why i was so sad

when i told him he hurt me he replied “my bad”

that is how i knew it was over

the tables had turned. this time it was not me searching for closure

another poem he has inspired

and i guess one more time is required

heartbreaksad poetry
