Pieces of Us

Shaken to our Foundation

By Bex JordanPublished 22 days ago 1 min read
We, the Storm

We were ignited,

Together we burned brighter

Until we fizzled.

My being wet for

Weeks, drowned in streams of mourning

Before I ran dry.

A stone became I,

Hardened by cold thoughts and eyes

Petrified in earth.

The storm blew aside;

Time and amends purified

Air, we made our peace.
