i read a line that said

give an offering for the dead..but

i had naught but a little bread.

i heard a line, she said

if not for me then you'd be dead

so i gave to her a bite of bread.

i saw a line ahead

i wondered if i should leave instead..but

i waited to get some help for my empty head.

i read a line that said

write a poem for some cred..but

came back to me crossed out with red.

i heard a line or so i thought

turned out was not something that could be bought..

and so i thought..

and so i said..

let me take my little pieces

give to one that loves me yet..and so

i offered up..

unto the dead.
