Your face

Was on a photo today

-seen on my Facebook screen.

True,

Your hair was covered.

You were wearing a costume.

I did not know you.

No recognition.

Curious, I zoomed in on the photo.

Nothing.

No heart tug.

No soul stirring.

How could that happen?

You have become the stranger

You wanted me to be.

I am sitting with this.

I am shattered.

Still, if you wanted them

I’d willingly give you the pieces.
