Pickled Crickets

Rumbling engines of bumbling workers with crumbling pensions,

race to protest the fumbled intentions of the

government’s grumbled dissension.

A cricket cries beyond thicket skies,

picking pickled lies out of privileged picket lines.

Synthesized sympathy simulates segregated synchrony -

spitefully severing sentient symmetry.
