Photo Finish
The Sonnet Of Shadows Challenge
Might I love myself better by being honest
Shining light on my deep, hidden truth
Walking through memories, those of my fondest
Greeting each vision as photo finish proof
~
Praise myself for permitting recapture
Developing the film, giving it a frame
No picture is at risk of overexposure
I've wiped off the lens, given it my name
~
Clearer eyes pose a different angle
A closer look at background shadows
My alter ego, a grey space entangle
Who dodges noon for pre-dawn meadows
~
Click, click, click, how the camera shutters
Love of light and shadow, the fine print utters
