Phoenix Form

I am the fire in the best way possible.

If the flame in my eyes is too bright for you

Or the way my skin ripples with strength

If I am the storm that frightens and terrifies

Then look away. Just turn your head.

-

A rollicking storm of flaming feelings

Contained so carefully, heat muted

A way to not live, but I tried

Though it pained me so, I hid myself

-

She, that was the old me, the one in ash

Here, this woman now? Will not hide

She was my past, and this maelstrom

This is my presence- my present

-

Let it stand- if my flames are too strong

And the heat of my soul too hot-

Let me be, let me live in peace

For I do not chase you

-

I am a fire, contained, but thriving

Blazing, a joyous soul of warmth

I do not burn to harm or spite you

This is simply my phoenix form
