Reborn in flame

By Mark Stigers Published 2 years ago • 1 min read

I have built a nest

of aromatic woods and spices rare.

At the end of this life quest,

I die with a magnificent flare.

I am a great beautiful bird,

with plumage of red, purple, and gold.

There is not a single word

to describe one who is so bold.

In a conflagration I was born;

the Fire is my mother.

From the flame, I take my form;

my soul burns like no other.

I live a meteoric life,

a streak in the sky,

a flash so very bright,

even when I die.

There is no way to stop me,

For in brilliance, I am reborn.

I rise eternally,

in a cycle of reform.
