Phantoms of the Night
A Haunting Poem of Eerie Enchantment
In the heart of a moonless, haunted night,
Where stars hide their twinkling, out of fright,
A world of eerie wonders starts to unfurl,
Where phantoms dance and ghosts whirl.
~
Beneath a canopy of inky-black skies,
A spectral moon casts ghostly eyes.
Its feeble glow reveals the haunting scene,
Where shadows and spirits convene.
~
Amidst a forgotten, ancient forest's sprawl,
Mist blankets each twisted, gnarled tree's call.
Their skeletal branches reach out and groan,
A chorus of despair, in a world unknown.
~
Owls hoot and watch, their eyes aglow,
Guiding lost souls where nightmares flow.
Their talons clutch secrets, never to tell,
In the realm of darkness where souls dwell.
~
A mansion, decrepit, atop a hill stands,
Holding the weight of unseen hands.
Its walls echo with ghostly cries,
Tales of the past, where despair never dies.
~
As the midnight hour creeps slowly near,
Phantoms and spirits begin to appear.
They waltz through the mansion's shadowed halls,
Their laughter, a mournful lament that enthralls.
~
In the graveyard, silence blankets each tomb,
Where the restless spirits find eternal room.
Their epitaphs etched in worn, weathered stone,
Their stories of sorrow and vengeance known.
~
Beware the shadows that silently creep,
As they beckon you into their spectral keep.
In the heart of darkness, where fear abides,
The spirits of the night in ghostly tides.
~
With each step through this spectral domain,
You'll encounter their presence, their lingering pain.
But remember, brave traveler, don't retreat,
For courage, in the darkness, makes fears obsolete.
~
So when the night is dark and spooky's your theme,
Embrace the eerie, like a haunting dream.
In the world of phantoms, where fear and wonder collide,
Face your frights and let your spirit abide.

Like it says above my name is Kailee, though many of my friends call me Kit because I tend to draw foxes a lot in my spare time whenever I'm not writing up a storm. I love writing as you can no doubt tell from how I've been posting.
