Can you feel it?
When you roam through my mind like a phantom,
Having made your fierce petition to stay,
I put up zero fight,
Having laced my memories with your swift brand,
Confliction at how much I find I have to say,
But find the words silenced in the passing of days,
Feeling ruffled this way,
Waiting at the gate under a moonlit gaze,
Trees lined in lights flickering soft blue,
lace out lined in moon white,
Trailing deeper into a place locked away,
A summer night hum of crickets,
Hoos, hoots, howls,
The life of a radiant night,
To the left and to the right,
The daunting trees that could threaten to swallow me,
Yet only a strong peace flows,
The assurance i feel,
I feel you linger at the edge of the Forrest where I will reach,
Forward I step,
Following the sound of a voice,
Oh I pray it never stops speaking my name,
It is clear as day in this suffocating silence,
Follow, I will,
Is it just a dream?
Can you feel it when you roam through my mind?
