A Poem Written For a Kid Struggling

My cat being cute as always.

Animals don’t talk like us,

But they make us feel whole within our hearts.

If we note their expressions and how they make sounds,

Bonding and understanding will grow.

It’s sad to feel the loneliness; we all want it to go.

There’s still hope.

Cats and dogs- we all smile when they are seen.

A furball purrs our troubles away.

Dogs help us when in distress and keep us active.

Beyond our loving pets, animals are still there.

Don’t be afraid. Not all of them are hostile.

We all smile when we see them running through our backyards.

If we don’t have a pet, not all is lost.

We still have families and friends that love us.

Don’t focus on their absence,

Focus on the good things they’ve done with you

And believe they will come back soon

Because we know they’ll do.

So true... "There’s still hope. Cats and dogs- we all smile when they are seen. A furball purrs our troubles away. Dogs help us when in distress and keep us active." Animals certainly are a blessing and comfort.

  • I usually smile and greet them when I see an animal but avoid eye contact and hope it'll go away if it's a human, lol. Loved your poem!
