PETE BURNS

-Ode to the King of the Shemale Race-

By

C.M. Richards.

You started a ‘Youthquake’ in every nation,

It spun us all ‘right round’

A brand-new sensation.

Rebel, rebel in your Westwood dress,

You looked divine, a ‘Special Star”, An international sensation

You used knives and fillers to impress.

You ‘Burnt down cities and crashed a plane,

‘Behaved in ways you won’t again”.

Oh, how I wish you were here to do it all again.

We all turned around and counted to ten,

Turned back to see,

Pete was gone, never to be seen again.

You ‘Son of a Gun’ you did what few have done,

You wore your heart on your face.

To show the real man that you were, ‘King of the Shemale Race’.

You were culture, a real influence,

I pierced my nose because you did too.

It is hard to write about you in the past tense.

Don’t say goodbye,

You looked so good in the ‘Nude’.

It’s time to celebrate not to cry even though you look down from the sky.

We all turned around and counted to ten,

Turned back to see,

Pete was gone, never to be seen again.

‘Tonight’, ‘Let’s Just Dance,

‘Rip It Up’, be ‘Mad Bad and Dangerous to Know’.

‘Let’s Just Dance'.

And for Pete put on one more show…because

We all turned around and counted to ten,

Turned back to see,

Pete was gone, never to be seen again.
