A WORMWHOLE FOR AN OVERACHIEVING WORM

..........................PERSPECTIVE........................

In darkness I toil

By the light of the moon

From this hole I crawl...

Resurrected!

I am worm.

Am I the lowest?

In this chain of fools?

Or disillusioned, merely a link

In a chain of foods?

I scurry, much as I can.

No legs, you see!

So I say again...I scurry,

I have the scent..

With no eyes to see,

What can I be..

But a creature of scent!

Olfactory sensory..

In my humanity,

I lose my sanity,

Imagine myself the worm.

Still, in my vanity,

Lest I forget..

I am worm.

This life..

It is hard..makes me squirm...but...

Even a worm has a dream!

In darkness I toil....
