Perseverance
For the "Don’t Turn Around" Challenge
A familiar feeling has surfaced
The same feeling that hits at this time
The same entity that haunts me when I enter a challenge
Doubt--unadulterated doubt
Doubt--a frightening creature
Doubt--an unforgiving entity
Doubt--can be crippling if one let's it be
But I can defeat it
My passion for writing will help
My refusal to give up will guide me
My belief that I will win will keep me going
So doubt, step off
Doubt, fly away
Doubt, there's no place for you
Only one thing will keep me going
As I make this poetic entry
And that's the sweet feeling of perseverance
