....life is never pure

Perfection

I strive to be spotless, pristine and pure,

A sight to see, of that I am sure,

All my deeds and actions need to be exact,

No errors or flaws, or lapses in tact.

I work tirelessly to always be neat,

And my space is always so tidy and sweet,

My clothes are pressed and my shoes are clean,

I leave no room for chaos or scene.

But try as I might, I fail to see,

That perfection is seldom possible for me,

Mistakes happen, and life is never pure,

And it's ok to let go and enjoy a little unsure.

So I'll lighten up, let go of the fuss,

As perfection is a fleeting status,

And in the end, it's kindness that counts,

Above all else, let our hearts amount.
