Perfect prescription

Getting the combination wrong is okay

You and I were sick people

Our love was like phentamines

Draining away all of our substance

Until all we had left

Was popped pills

And overwhelming regrets

I guess our love

Prescribed to bring happiness and health

Was a side-effect

That only brought

Broken hearts and migraines

You and I are sick people

We need new medicine

Because together

We’re like phentamines

Sucking away at each other's worth.

I'm a sick person

And you're a sick person

But with someone else I make advil

A reliever of pain

That soothes all my woes

And makes me feel.

I understand the prescribed effect

I supposed to feel with you

I feel it with someone else

But that's okay

Because we’re both sick people

We both just

Need different medicine
