People of the Jubilee

A short poem

Life and I are at an impasse
Reconciling other peoples fares
Turning jubilance to nothing but a jubilee
Presence just attendance
Smiles participation
While reality resembling the served beast
The berries make it sweet
As the dance acts as fodder for our time march, keeping it lively
Disrupting everydays robotic mutiny
A silent standoff for all involved
Unaware of those hanging in the balance
Only thing sweeter than the berries is ignorance of the happy
Laughing in the faces of all under the tree of knowledge
Left the morsels of small acts
Consumed as gratitude
Passed around until all have had a taste
Thanking god we were invited to this place
