Pelican Alleyways

lopsided mist, opportunities around the corner

By Trent OdlinPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

down ferry the new

track awaits, a shifting rail

by rivers and seas

opulent mist a pragmatic sensation

two obstacles with horrible features so mad that

mathematical equations define my smile

can it get any worse with more certainty

lopsided, swift and, true the arrow lands on the bend

Pierce!

hit harder than the hands I missed

eyes water

juniper trees and khaki leaves

hit me into the sense, petal gleams, please

Rainforest concurrence, opulent metal sheets for the

drops, calculated in precision

swift, missed kitchens no food for the gingerbread

man. where can I go

three emphatic gestures

stay low watch arrival

how did it get so high from here

the rain occurrence in opulence, most sense

a problem in the valley,

pelicans trapped in alleyways,

rubber ghouls and standing ovations

mark on the middle of the apple pie

hurry, I slave over

a problem I pursued, I never behaved.

sheathes for no swords, thoughts with no masters

drip me in your crystal glow let me see

The words locked in caves

colors i cannot

perceive,

bathe

or know

About the Creator

Trent Odlin

After getting diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease at the age of fifteen, forcing me out of school and uprooting my life, I spent the majority of the next five years in bed. There, I found writing, and my own style of surreal poetry.
