Pearl of Wisdom

As a mermaid narrowly escaped a hostile capture under a fishing net

A weary village fisherman realized his strength and wits were about

to be put to the test

The mermaid's beauty and powers had lived only in tales and myths

but the fisherman was convinced he would need to be a superhero

to overcome the fierce warrior that had come out of the mist

As the howling seaward wind unlatched a single sharpened whale harpoon

from its buckled holder, it pierced the fisherman's shoulder as he stumbled

and fell into the crystal blue lagoon.

For hours the battle raged between the wits of one single man against the

harsh forces of nature and a magical mermaid that sang a hypnotizing tune

Suddenly a flash of light appeared that brought the battle to an end...

As the fog slowly cleared and the clouds began to calm and settle down

the mermaid's silhouette was seen carrying the fisherman draped across her

arms to the neighboring town

Some people believe that all lighthouses contain a secret tower window

Up high towards the heavens for all who travel the seas to know

They will be guided by the glow of the mermaid so they can safely

find their way back home wherever they may go
