Peaches remind me

Of summer

Of Georgia

Of the childhood

I never quite got

Biting into the plump fruit

Juices running down my chin

Takes me back to the days

Of messy hands

dirty faces

and sticky kisses anyways

Of running barefoot

through the grass

and playing in the creek

watch out for snakes!

About the Creator

Samantha De Yarman

They’re just words

I’m arranging in an order

And yet somehow

Nothing else is harder.
