Peace to My Soul

when you come around...

A sip of coffee as I watch the rain,

Running down my windowpane,

The feel of autumn as the leaves blow by,

The smell of apple cinnamon and pumpkin pie,

The sense of my sweater warming my skin,

Sitting by the fire waiting for the night to begin,

Bring peace to my soul again sweet Earth,

Remind me of everything I’m worth,

The scent of the grass just cut as I drive,

The sweet air in my hair, makes me feel alive,

Feeling the sun beaming on my back,

Smelling the ocean, I forget all that I lack,

The purple-melon colored sunset’s magnificent light,

Laying under the stars on that same night,

Hollow me out, pouring life into me when

you come around and bring peace to my soul again.
