Passing Time

& fine lines

By Lindsay TatumPublished about a year ago • 1 min read

We feel the same sadness, I know.

How time just goes by how it goes.

We travel down all of these roads

But the right one just might never show.

The world spins ‘round while we stand,

The hourglass dropping its sand,

We hear the tick of moving hands.

What happened to all of our plans?

People we love say goodbye.

There’s no answers if you ask why,

No escaping the passing of time,

And no button to hit rewind.

So we live and we live ‘til we die.

Sometimes living just means we survive.

Each face becomes aged with fine lines,

And we long for the life left behind.
