She doesn't like it

but she's learned to be alone

Keeps the curtains drawn

says the light's too loud

But the quiet's good

it keeps her company

Says it holds her tight

in the evening breeze

Another soul in flight

that no one ever sees

We're all too blind

a whole world on their knees

The world's grown so cold

creating escapees...

She turns her phone down low

keeps it locked down tight

No one one needs to know

what keeps her up at night

She’s a black, black sheep

in a field of white

A short fuse lit

twisting life's dull knife

No, she doesn't like it

but she's learned to be alone

Keeps the curtains drawn...

cause the light's too loud
