Burning eyes behind
sunglasses.
-
A knife before
the spine.
-
The
slowly
gathering
pressure
in my chest.
-
A final step,
a restless night,
-
lungs flatlining,
ravenous for air,
-
can’t keep me safe from
my avaricious despair,
-
cannibalised ideas
creativity a cold zone,
-
isolated and left frozen.
--------
I watch the walls become darker,
hear the sound all fall away,
but remain
unmoving,
paralysed.
